Le nouveau Directeur Général de l’Agence de Soutien et de Développement des Médias (ASDM), Méité Sindou, était ce mercredi 20 juillet 2022, à la Maison de la Presse d’Abidjan (MPA) pour une visite à l’Union Nationale des Journalistes de Côte d’Ivoire (UNJCI). Une visite de prise de contact qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de la tournée des médias initiée par le nouveau Directeur Général de l’ASDM.
« Il était symboliquement important pour nous de commencer cette visite par l’UNJCI qui est la structure mère des médias. Et surtout parce que la voix de la faîtière des journalistes compte dans le paysage médiatique » a précisé Meïté Sindou.
Aussi, a-t-il rappelé, tous les accords et programmes de l’ex-FSDP en cours seront maintenus et iront à leurs termes. « Il n’y aura pas de rupture ni d’interruption (…). Rien ne se fera sans vous. Mieux, on va amplifier la concertation avec l’UNJCI », a-t-il rassuré.
Le président de l’UNJCI, Jean-Claude Coulibaly s’est dit heureux de la visite du DG de l’ASDM et a promis soutenir et épauler la nouvelle équipe afin de l’aider à réussir sa mission. Jean-Claude Coulibaly s’est dit également satisfait de la qualité des échanges qui augurent des lendemains meilleurs pour les journalistes et les médias en Côte d’Ivoire.
Notons que la rencontre s’est terminée par une visite guidée de la nouvelle salle de conférence de la Maison de la Presse d’Abidjan, dont l’inauguration est prévue dans les semaines à venir.
