Abli, village situé à 4 km de Toumodi chef lieu de sous-préfecture, a vécu le samedi 25 juin dernier une ambiance inhabituelle et festive. En effet, l’événement qui était multidimensionnel à savoir la consécration de la chapelle, la confirmation d’une centaine de chrétiens, la profession de foi de sœurs religieuses qui devaient prononcer leurs vœux et comme cerise sur le gâteau, la bénédiction de la grotte mariale, a drainé du beau monde dans le village et particulièrement autour de la chapelle Monseigneur René Kouassi. Toutes les forces vives d’Abli ont fait le déplacement. Les fils et filles d’Abli, les cadres et d’éminentes personnalités avec à leur tête le ministre Patrice Kouamé fils d’Abli ont participé à cette eucharistie présidée par Monseigneur Alexis Touably président de la conférence épiscopale régionale de l’Afrique de l’ouest, élu depuis le 06 mai 2022, évêque d’Agboville, administrateur apostolique du diocèse de Yamoussoukro et assisté d’un collège de ministres de Dieu dont le vicaire délégué père Albert Coramani et le curé de la paroisse de Toumodi Germain Sobilé.
Le mot de bienvenue a été dit par le porte parole des populations d’Abli Ange Félix N’Dakpri qui a déclaré ce qui suit: » Les Saintes Ecritures à travers le psaume 132 nous enseignent qu’il et bon pour des frères et soeurs de vivre ensemble et d’être unis. Animés donc d’un tel état d’esprit, nous voulons ce matin au nom du village d’Abli dans toutes ses composantes souhaiter la bienvenue à l’ensemble des personnalités ici réunies, également à Monseigneur Alexis Touably et tous les hommes de Dieu qui l’accompagnent pour consacrer la chapelle et satisfaire aussi à d’autres ordonnances de l’église. Décider de venir bénir cette chapelle qui, porte le nom de Monseigneur René Kouassi, c’est une grâce pour le village, nous pensons que cette idée de faire d’Abli un village religieux et touristique, nous voulons en faire finalement une vision. Nous portons le rêve que cette chapelle devienne un jour une cathédrale. » Le curé de la paroisse Saint Michel de Toumodi Germain Sobilé a dit toute sa reconnaissance à Son Excellence Alexis Touably d’avoir accepté de venir célébrer cette consécration sans omettre de signifier sa gratitude au révérend père Emile Kouadio Kan qui a construit cette belle chapelle en 2002.

Pour finir, Monseigneur Alexi Touably s’est confié à la presse en s’attardant sur le sens de la consécration et de l’impact d’un Saint Patron sur une église donnée: » L’église fait le geste visible de la consécration, c’est un geste de piété pour remettre officiellement l’église en question entre les mains de Dieu, et ce faisant, c’est le mystère de l’incarnation qui s’actualise et se réalise en cet endroit. L’église a 3 dimensions. Nous les chrétiens qui vivons sur cette terre actuellement, nous sommes l’église militante, c’est à dire l’église qui lutte pour que le règne de Dieu arrive. Ensuite les chrétiens qui sont morts eux aussi ils sont dans l’église. A ce niveau il y a 2 groupes, il y a ceux qu’on appelle l’église triomphante, ce sont les Saints qui sont déjà au ciel et qui ont pour mission de prier pour nous. Et il y a l’église souffrante, ce sont les chrétiens qui sont morts et qui ont encore quelque chose à expier afin d’avoir toute la pureté requise pour entrer au ciel. Alors quand on dédie une église à un Saint, c’est cette communion des Saints qu’on manifeste, le lien mystique mais réel entre nous les chrétiens de la terre et les chrétiens du ciel. Aussi, les chrétiens dont l’église a été dédiée à un tel Saint ou à tel autre doivent-ils s’efforcer d’imiter les vertus de ce Saint. »
