Les raisons du choix d’Abidjan
La Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) a D2CID2 annoncé la tenue de sa 45èAssemblée Générale
ordinaire à Abidjan, en Côte d‘Ivoire, le 13 juillet 2023.
Cet évènement revêt d’une importance d’autant plus qu’il précède le tirage au sort de la coupe d’Afrique des
Nations (CAN) 2023. Dans un communiqué, la CAF a souligné l’importance de cette AGO en tant que
rendez-vous majeur pour kl ‘instance continentale du football.
En attendant le tirage au sort de la CAN 2023, la Confédération africaine de football va honorer un
rendez-vous important à Abidjan Dans un communiqué, l’instance continentale du ballon ronde
indiqué que la 45è Assemblée du caf se tiendra le 13 juillet 2023 sur les bords de la lagune ébrié
C’est ce qui ressort d’un communiqué rendu public par la Caf sur son site officiel un choix logique quand on
sait que la Côte d ‘Ivoire organise la prochaine CAN.
Il départage l’Algérie et le Maroc tout aussi intéressé le Bénin était initialement retenu comme pays hôte à ce
conclave. Mais la fédération béninoise de football avait annoncé son renoncement il y a une semaine.
Le Keyan devait être la solution de repli avant que les autorités de la Caf ne valident l’option de la capitale
économique ivoirienne. Pour rappel la CAF a inscrit trois points à l’ordre du jour. Le tirage au sort pour des
groupes pour les éliminatoires de la coupe du monde 2026(12 juillet), l’élection ‘ renouvellement partiel) du
comité exécutif’ de la Caf (13 juillet) et l’organisation des ateliers et clôture du congrès (le 14 juillet)
