En outre, depuis 1991, les Ouest-Africaines ont remporté plus de 50 des quelque 60 matches disputés durant cette compétition.
Dans ces conditions, quelle équipe sera en mesure de les détrôner au Maroc ? L’Afrique du Sud, puissance montante du foot féminin en Afrique, en rêve. Il y a quatre ans, lors de la dernière phase finale, les Sud-Africaines n’en sont pas passées loin.
