Le Ministère du Commerce de l’industrie et de la Promotion des PME a procédé à la destruction
de produits frauduleux d’une valeur de 30 millions Fcfa, le jeudi 24 août 2023, au centre de
destruction, d’enfouissement et de transfert de la Zone industrielle de Yopougon, l’un des
centres destinés à ce type d’action dans le district d’Abidjan.
Les produits détruits comprennent essentiellement plus de 1500 cartons de boissons alcooliques
en sachet plastique, plus de 1000 paquets de bouteilles de sucrerie, une trentaine de sacs
de lait périmé et bien d’autres denrées alimentaires, d’importante quantité.
Le Sous-directeur de la Répression des fraudes, Kponé Zimo Bérenger, a saisi l’occasion pour
expliquer le sens de l’opération qui s’inscrit dans le cadre de la campagne de lutte contre les
fraudes, lancée en début d’année par le Ministère en charge du Commerce pour lutter contre
la fabrication, l’importation et la commercialisation des boissons alcooliques de plus de
20 dégré, tout comme les boissons en sachet plastique frappées d’interdiction
en Côte d’Ivoire.
« Nous avons reçu les instructions du Ministre en charge du commerce, Dr. Souleymane
Diarrassouba, à l’effet de retirer sur l’ensemble du territoire national toutes ces boissons
qui sont frappées d’interdiction.
Vous avez pu observer, depuis quelques mois, que les services de répression des fraudes,
sur l’ensemble du territoire national, en collaboration avec les directions régionales en
charge du Commerce, mènent une lutte acharnée contre tous ceux qui sont dans ce trafic.
Au niveau du District d’Abidjan, cette action fait partie des résultats obtenus »,a-t-il souligné.
Devant le danger que représente ce fléau pour l’économie nationale, le Sous-directeur
de la répression des fraudes s’est voulu ferme dans son adresse aux fraudeurs.
« Je suis sûr que les fraudeurs nous écoutent. Nous sommes venus pour les inquiéter
et nous allons les poursuivre jusqu’à leur dernier retranchement.
Nous avons reçu des instructions fermes et c’est dans cette fermeté que nous allons
continuer toute l’année sans répit. Les services de répression sont sur le terrain,
tous les jours pour pouvoir assurer la sécurité alimentaire et sanitaire de
nos populations, protéger nos entreprises et sauvegarder notre économie »,
a-t-il martelé.
Il a par ailleurs reconnu qu’une telle mission ne peut se mener sans l’aide de la population.
« Nous lançons un appel à nos populations, nous leur demandons de continuer
à collaborer avec les agents du Ministère en charge du Commerce, précisément
avec les services de répression. Sans collaboration, il est difficile d’avoir les yeux
partout », a reconnu M. Kponé.
Notons que depuis le début de l’année, plusieurs produits prohibés ont déjà fait l’objet
de destruction par la Direction de la répression des fraudes. Ce sont entre autres,
des produits alimentaires et infantiles saisis à Koumassi d’une valeur de plus de
163 millions Fcfa, des produits saisis dans le cadre du démantèlement de l’usine
clandestine de cigarettes contrefaites à Abobo N’dotré, d’une valeur de 20 millions
Fcfa et des alcools en sachet plastique saisis à Treichville, d’une valeur de plus
de 20 millions Fcfa.
